Thank you for joining the Swiss Queens Wednesday tournament! We are excited to have you on board. To ensure a smooth and fair competition, please take note of the following instructions:
Make sure you are signed in:
1. If you are signed out, click on the icon "Sign in" in the very right upper corner of Arena and sign in.
2. Double-check you’ve joined the tournament.
3. If you see the button Join, please click on it immediately. If the page shows that the tournament will start in a certain period of time, you are all set.
4. When the tournament starts, your game will open automatically.
5. Please do not leave the tournament page during the tournament.
6. We recommend choosing one of these browsers: Google Chrome, Safari, or Yandex.
7. If you have any issues, please write to support@chessarena.com at your earliest convenience. The support team will react immediately and try to solve the problem as quickly as possible.
Zoom:
1. To maintain the integrity of the tournament and ensure fair play, we require all participants to join the Zoom meeting with their cameras turned on.
To join the meeting, please click on “Join Chat” button. Don’t forget to unblock pop-up windows, so zoom is able to open.
*Please mind that you’ll need a couple of minutes to register in zoom if you haven’t used it before. No worries, It’s very easy. Click on the link and follow the steps zoom suggests. Just in case, here is a very quick guide on how to do that.
3. You DO NOT need to share your screen; simply having your camera on to show yourself is sufficient.
4. Please mute your sound for the tournament.
5. After joining Zoom, you can ask publicly any urgent questions, you are welcome to send them to the group chat in Zoom before the tournament starts. After the tournament starts we kindly ask you to send your feedback and questions to support@chessarena.com.
6. Please ensure your readiness to be featured in the official live broadcast by World Chess during the event.
Please remember that you need to be signed in zoom during the whole tournament.
Headphone usage:
1. Kindly refrain from using headphones during the tournament. This is to maintain a level playing field for all participants and to avoid any potential issues.
Scheduled breaks:
1. There will be two 3-minute breaks during the tournament, scheduled after round 4 and round 8. Please use this time to rest and prepare for the upcoming rounds. Feel free to turn off the camera during the break.
Post-Tournament procedures:
1. After the tournament concludes, we will conduct and complete anti-cheating checks.
2. Final results will be communicated to you no later than 7 days after the event. You will receive an email with final results and information about the prize distribution and next steps.
