By using the websites - chessarena.com, worldchess.com (the “Websites”) or World Chess mobile application (the “Application”)(collectively the “Platforms”) you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions, which together with our Privacy Policy govern our relationship with you with respect to the Platforms. If you disagree with any part of these terms and conditions, please do not use ourServices.

The terms 'World Chess Events Limited', FIDE Online Arena, FOA, or 'us' or 'we' refers to the owner of the Platforms whose registered office is at Eastcastle House, 27/28 Eastcastle Street, London, United Kingdom, W1W 8DH and/or its affiliated parties. The term 'you' refers to the user or viewer ofthe Websites or the Application.

  1. The use of our Platforms is subject to the following terms of use: The content of the pages of the Websites or the content of the Application is for your general information and use only. It is subject to change without notice.

  2. These Platforms use cookies to monitor browsing preferences. We may collect and use technical data and related information—including but not limited to technical information about your device, system and application software, and peripherals—that is gathered periodically to facilitate the provision of software updates, product support, and other services to you (if any) related to the Application.   3. Neither we nor any third parties provide any warranty or guarantee as to the accuracy, timeliness, performance, completeness or suitability of the information and materials found or offered on these Platforms for any particular purpose. You acknowledge that such information and materials may contain inaccuracies or errors and we expressly exclude liability for any such inaccuracies or errors to the fullest extent permitted by law.

  4. Your use of any information or materials on these Platforms is entirely at your own risk, for which we shall not be liable. It shall be your own responsibility to ensure that any products, services or information available through these Platforms meet your specific requirements.

  5. These Platforms contain material that is owned by or licensed to us. This material includes, but is not limited to, the design, layout, look, appearance, and graphics. Reproduction is prohibited unless specifically stated otherwise. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, disassemble, attempt to derive the source code of, modify, or create derivative works of the Application, any updates, or any part thereof (except as and only to the extent that any foregoing restriction is prohibited by applicable law or to the extent as may be permitted by the licensing terms governing use of any open-sourced components included with the mobile application). Using the Application through Apple-branded product is subject to the standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“EULA”).   6. All trademarks reproduced in these Platforms which are not the property of, or licensed to, the operator is acknowledged on the Websites or on the Application. FIDE trademark is the official trademark of Fédération Internationale des Échecs (fide.com).

  7. From time to time the Websites may also include links to other websites. These links are provided for your convenience to provide further information. They do not signify that we endorse the website(s). We have no responsibility for the content of the linked website(s).

  8. On our Platforms, you can purchase paid subscription packages. The price, content, and duration of each subscription package are outlined on the subscription page. The subscriptions renew automatically at the end of the subscription period. Before the start of each renewal, the User is sent a reminder notice stating the time remaining in the current billing period. If the User does nothing, their card or payment account will be charged automatically. If you have any issues regarding your subscription or would like to cancel it please contact our Customer support at support@chessarena.com.

  9. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your subscription or product for any reason, with or without notice and without further obligation.

  10. In case of any violations of our Fair Play Policy, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and revoke your FIDE online Arena title. No payments will be refunded.

  11. To the extent not prohibited by law, in no event shall World Chess Events Limited be liable for personal injury or any incidental, special, indirect, or consequential damages, whatsoever, including, without limitation, damages for loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption, or any other commercial damages or losses, arising out of or related to use of or inability to use the Platforms, however cause, regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, or otherwise). In no event shall World Chess Events Limited’s total liability to you for all damages (other than as may be required by applicable law in cases involving personal injury) exceed the amount of fifty dollars ($50.00). The foregoing limitations will apply even if the above stated remedy fails of its essential purpose.

  12. If a player is not 100% satisfied with his/her FIDE Online Arena membership, he/she is entitled to a full refund of the membership fee within 15 days from the date of purchase. If a player has paid for an online title during these 15 days, then no refund of a membership fee is possible. Once paid, online title fees and their connected membership fees cannot be refunded.

  13. This Agreement and the relationship between you and World Chess Events Limited shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute or claim arising from this agreement shall be submitted and resolved exclusively by the courts of England.
